Be good.
« on: September 29, 2012, 12:47:56 PM »
Been a bit busy lately, getting my work ahead for a week's holiday. I'm off to Portugal tomorrow for a bit of sunshine so behave on here while I'm gone. No parties, no sleepovers and remember to put the bins out on Wednesday.
See you in about eight days...

And I thought you would be giving me a hand moving house this week.

NB: Roger never actually said that we couldn’t stuff some of the forum members into the bins before we put them out on Wednesday.

Hope you have fun in the sun!  8)

Have a great time Roger. Don't forget to have a glass or 3 of Alandra.

Just got back from a few days in Sorrento, can highly recommend both Sorrento and Sunshine. Unseasonably hot for the end of September, 31c last Saturday........Fantastic.

Hope Portugal is equally as nice.

How do you know my bin day is Wednesday! Spooky!

Well, the predicted week of sunshine proved to be accurate. The temperature remained in the mid to high twenties with barely a cloud to be seen. Of course, it was medically important to keep up a steady intake of cold San Miguel beer (and a few glasses of Alandra, Rob) but it was worth the effort. I managed to offset the fine dining---from sea bass to suckling pig---with at least a couple of swims in the pool every day. The whole week was bliss, apart from the owner of the local bar taking 20 euros off me at cribbage. Bastard.
Okay, back to work tomorrow. What do I do again?

Think of the 20 euros as your part in Portugals EU financial aid package. Money well spent (or lost, as the case may be).

Welcome back, Roger. Malc and I were discussing your Portugal trips only the other day, when he came over to Bute. I really don't know why you don't up-sticks and live out there permanently, seeing as you work for yourself and are internet-savvy.

Oh, hang on...

I'll get round to the internet soon, Nige. I'm working on the TV remote at the moment---my son told me I can record stuff with it!
