Hope you're having a good one!

Happy Birthday for yesterday Bill. And to prevent such lateness from happening again, consider this post a "Happy Birthday" for next year too.

Bill's cakes are getting stale waiting for him to show up for the party.  :(

He could be photographing nude birds. Professional artistic photographers are allowed to do that. I'd probably leave the cake for later too.

Gals and Guys.  Thank you soo much for the kind wishes and I offer my apologies for not responding sooner but I have not been on the site in days.  I didn't think to check if I had any presents or cakes here as it was a quiet day lasy Monday.  At least the Government gave me a Bank Holiday as a birthday present - pity I'm not employed at the moment so Monday was just another day.

On a good note, the wife baked a lovely Coffee and Walnut cake for me.  The first one in a lot of years as we didn't bother to bake cakes in the army cooker.  It was a rubbish one that produced very uneven results.  This time we have our own cooker which has been in store for the past 9 years and works wonderfully.  I just have to level it a little better so the cake mix remains horizontal (didn't affect the taste).

Fantastic cake Diane, next time can I have a 'Canon' one as that is my system.

Sandhi, You shouldn't have.  My current shed is still in pieces waiting to be placed in the garden once I have made a new roof.

Roger.  Thanks for the kind thoughts.  You won't get rid of me that soon.

Malc, thanks for the smiler.  :D :D :D ;)  Hope to see you sometime if you are in the Worcester area.

Lil.  Thanks for the thought.  Don't worry.  No 1 son (and only one) didn't ring me until Tuesday night.  His excuse was that he was still recovering from his Stag weekend prior to his wedding end June.

Egg, thank you for the thought.  If you add two more posts you will have reached 100.

Peepsie, Thank you.  How's the house build getting on?

My only pictures at the moment are of our old bridge being demolished and a new one in its place.  Its taking all year to complete.  I shall get some pics for you all to see once I have sorted them out.  It's an interesting engineering task.  Check out this link for details http://www.worcestershire.gov.uk/cms/transport-and-highways/transport-schemes/evesham-abbey-bridge.aspx

Cheers to all......

To answer your question Bill, "next time can I have a 'Canon' one as that is my system" - No you bloody well can’t ye ungrateful git. Show up here late for your own party and then moan about the cake. Grrr.  ..0

It was just a pretty please as my cameras would feel sad if they knew I had a Nikon in the house.  8)
