It's apparently out today, so who is upgrading?

(No, Roger, the double glazing you have at the moment is still okay.)

It's all rather sad, really. I remember when I was regarded as the technology whizz-kid in the family because I could successfully tape films on the video recorder. I think this was in 1981---coincidentally, around the same time that I severed all connections with the music industry.
Talking about Windows 10, I once got a cold call from someone attempting to sell me double glazing. They asked me how many windows I would consider being replaced, should I take up their offer. Attempting to be funny, I answered "Oh, at least 200". There was a pause, followed by "Do you live in a castle?" Of course, I responded with "Yes, I thought you knew". Another pause, followed by "I'm sorry, we don't do properties like that".
So there you go. If you get a phonecall from a double glazing company, tell them you live in a castle and they go away.
You're welcome.

And then your kids turned four and worked out how to do it themselves?

Mind you, I bet you were a riot at parties, surrounded by women all drawn to you by your cool t-shirt that said "I couldn't be a nerd if I tried."

And this is coming from someone who installed Windows 10 on someone else's laptop, glowing with "I can do this" nerd ability, only to forget that it was only on battery which died during the installation. I presented my friend with a wonderfully expensive brick. It took me all night to reinstall using a bootable USB. Bloody Microsoft!

And now it won't activate because I have changed the hard drive. Microsoft are such utter tossers.

Absolutely. Just don't hit the pause button on the tape deck and it'll be fine.

Is any computer okay with Windows 10? And the Commodore will probably sell for ?100 on eBay.

Microsoft's reputation in my eyes has now changed from "utterly useless tosspots" to "irredeemably loathsome rack of urinals".

Both myself and Lady Egg work from home, different companies, but share an "office".
We have just purchased a new wifi printer so we are not changing seats to plug the
printer in etc. etc.
Bearing in mind both companies are global big hitters, it took my company 10 minutes
to take control of my laptop remotely and install the drivers. Lady Egg's company, which
everyone knows, took 3 people, 2 car journeys and 2 weeks.....plus my intervention as I
knew they were talking bo****ks! ..0
