Best food you have eaten in 2016
« on: December 13, 2016, 05:25:08 PM »
I was having a look in the Grauniad online and saw this. https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2016/dec/11/best-thing-i-ate-2016-nigella-lawson-nadiya-hussain-rene-redzepi

So, apart from many of them turning my (generous) stomach, a very few did appeal.

My best food though in 2016 was a Cornish pasty bought in St Mawes on holiday, I'll never touch a Ginsters again.

So what was your best food/meal/thing you ate this year?

Hands down it's the homemade vegan chocolate cake that I made a few days ago.

Tried a scallop at a rather nice restaurant. Not being a seafood person at all, I was delighted at the experience.

I'll never give them away again, my diving treasures will be mine alone !

(Anchovies, however, can all drown...they taste wrong !)

Let me guess...

Contains the yolk from a blade of grass, and a quart of milk fresh from a quorns udder?

I am fairly renowned in the small circles I run in - for my penchant for mexican food.  So for me, it has to be carne asada burrito with sour cream, cheese and guacamole.

If I could get my hands on some black pudding* over here in Trumpiton - I would have given a different answer...

*dear Redundant - no - not a euphemism ;)
