I think a banner for the top of the page would look good.
I'm quite willing to design something if it would be accepted, it would make the site more
professional looking.

What should appear on the banner?

Any suggestions?

If there are no replies then I presume that everyone is happy with the way things are.
(I realise that by adding the line above that no one is going to reply, but the thought is there)

But a banner across the top of the page would obscure all my little icon thingies.  :(
I apologise, in advance.

No it wouldn't, it would just move them down a bit.
I started a forum for ex members of the KOSB and put this banner at the top.
It works well.

How 'professional' do you want the forum for a comic strip to be?  ???

What a small world Colin - my granddad was in the KOSB during WWI - he was a piper.

The technical side of this site has nothing to do with me but, if there is to be a new banner, I would like to think it would be both tasteful and subtle. How about...
BEAUPEEP.COM---HOME OF CARTOON GOD AND SUPERHUNK, ROGER KETTLE.
