Seattle Kate.
« on: March 17, 2008, 08:31:15 PM »
I don't know why but I started thinking about Seattle Kate today. So much so, that I typed her name into the search box and came up with something that the pit of my stomach had been telling me. It's two years to the day since Kate died. For those of you who didn't know her, she was a wonderfully vibrant, American contributor to our site who passed away at a tragically young age. If you'd like to get a feeling of what Kate was about, do as I did and type her name into the search box. You'll find a wonderful tribute from Diane on the first anniversary of Kate's death.
Max, if you're out there, my thoughts are with you.

I "got to know her" some months ago just by reading some of her posts in the old Beau Peep site.

I hope it's okay to post a link to the old site.

I was thinking about her this week too, Roger. I hadn't realised it has been two years already since her untimely death. It's testament to her personality that you can't think about her, and her contributions to this board, without breaking into a smile. My thoughts are with Max too.
Nostalgia is not what it used to be. 😟

I went to the search box again to re-read Diane's tribute and found that my original post on this thread has replaced it. I apologise if some of you have been trying to find it.

Big hugs to you Max.
People will come from strange lands to hear me speak my words of wisdom. They will ask me the secret of life and I will tell them. Then maybe I'll finish off with a song. The Nomad
