Because of my connections with Billings, Montana, I often read their local paper online. The Gazette is actually a pretty good publication and, unusually for that particular State, campaigns for the left in most political issues.
But what I love is the local news. Today's main photo featured a raccoon up a tree and was accompanied by the following text...
"Treed by a dog, a raccoon clings to a tree near Blue Creek Road".
I think this is just great and sums up life in Montana for me. First of all, it's about a raccoon. Secondly, the use of the word "tree" as a verb and, thirdly, "Blue Creek Road" sounds like the title of a Country and Western album.
I love it.
