Have I got a deal for you on a bunch of crap

What do you say to your in-laws when they are pushy home sales products ladies who won't take "no thanks" for an answer?

"No (f***ing) thanks" and hand back all the crap you've been coerced into to buying previously!

Tell them they can't be very good at their job if they have to resort to family to top up their sales.

Tell them the stuff they're trying to off-load is rubbish, when they get some good stuff you might reconsider!

Diane, I write all this in the knowledge that I am the head of the family - there's no-one older than me so I can't be brow-beaten or 'guilted' into doing something I don't want to do!

Oh, I do like the "might consider" line for better stuff.  ;D

There's always the smile as backup. Just say "Oh no, I couldn't. I'd buy something I didn't really want
and then every time I looked at it I'd be all resentful, and that's not healthy, surely?"

First, tell them you are very indecisive and don't want to waste their time. Then tell them you are VERY interested and WASTE as much of their time as humanly possible. While doing this, make sure YOU are getting your work done, such as cleaning the house (Peepmaster made me say that) or those pizza designs you like doing (Peepmaster again). Keep almost getting to buying something, and then ask for the catalogue again and change your mind. Always send them away with a confident "I'm going to buy several of those when I next see you." and then invite them round on washing day or spring cleaning day and change your mind all over again. Point out that you enjoy their being round because you can get your work done while thinking about what to buy. Treat yourself to chocolate for every full ten hours of theirs you waste.

This is definitely what's known as 'mincing around' - and so you, Mince!  :-*

Have something of your own to offer them, Diane. Maybe put a sticker on one of your Mandalas with a price of $5000 and say, "How about we buy off each other?"
Nostalgia is not what it used to be. 😟

There sure are some good ideas here, if I merged them and tweaked them for the product offered for sale at the time. I liked the you wouldn't want me to be resentful line. He He.

You really can't go wrong with a well placed "Bugger Off!" now and again - but unfortunately she doesn't get subtle.

Light them on fire.

The products, that is.

Failing that, then start on the relatives.
