Hobbit? Halfbit more like.

Is there some new fancy law that has been passed, that makes it illegal for a film producer to make just one complete, total, 100% of the book, non-follow up, dont want any more of your money Sir, type films?

Went to see The Hobbit at the weekend, or as my family now know it, The Ho. Am I the only person in the country who didn't get told it was 3 parts? 3 parts...not 2 parts...3 parts.

I am now going to start a protest over this foul money making scam. I refuse to go and see the next part until it comes out (and when it does, I am only buying a small popcorn, so there).

Join with me brothers and sisters.

I worry that Gandolph will pop off before all the shows are made.
People will come from strange lands to hear me speak my words of wisdom. They will ask me the secret of life and I will tell them. Then maybe I'll finish off with a song. The Nomad

Did they get past page 20 in the book?

They did, but only because they didn't read out the dwarves family trees.

3 parts...unbelievable.

I believe they made all three parts together, so all the filming is already done. They're just releasing them at yearly intervals.

Okay then, now I just have to worry that I don't pop off before they come out in DVD.

That's a hell of a long interval. How much popcorn and juice do they expect you to buy?

Maybe it wasn't in 3 parts, but simply one entire film, subsequently split into 3 halfbits.
Nostalgia is not what it used to be. 😟

Well whatever they did, it's a con. At no point in the book does it say "Split here".

I bet even the Orcs are fed up with it.

When I was at secondary school, I carried a Lord of the Rings book under my arm for about three months, attempting to be cool (This was 1969). As far as reading it, I never got past the third page. Under my other arm, I carried Spike Milligan's LP, The Best of Milligan's Wake, which I loved.
I was pretty much girlfriend-free in secondary school.

Did you finally hit it off with someone who also had not read The Lord of the Rings?

Ah, I see now how the Beau Peep strips act as therapy for past romantic struggles. Would it not have been easier to have your relationship re-enacted by the Sealed Knot?

I find chloroform sorts out romantic struggles better.
