Peep at Christmas - 1987
« on: December 14, 2014, 06:32:28 PM »
I posted some Beau Peep Christmas full-page specials a few years ago from 1981, 82, 83, 84 and 86, but I don't seem to have put any more up.  So here's the one from Xmas Eve 1897:

Merry Xmas everyone!

Rob, in your introduction to the strip, you state that it was from 1897. This is just a couple of years out.
Whatever the year, oo, it's cringeworthy seeing some of this stuff again!

Ooops, well spotted!  I should of course read 1987.  And to make you cringe again (and to give everyone else a laugh), I've just put up the special from 1988.

Not to be picky, but Christmas Eve 1987 should have been illustrated with a new moon. That is probably what made Rob get the date wrong.

People will come from strange lands to hear me speak my words of wisdom. They will ask me the secret of life and I will tell them. Then maybe I'll finish off with a song. The Nomad
