Khakra
« on: September 07, 2017, 07:56:43 PM »
My wife is Indian, and her mother just came back from a holiday in India with some Khakra. I'm not a fan of overly hot or spicy food, and these were little more than thin and crispy flatbread with spices liberally smothered over them. I tried some and my lips were burning within minutes, and I shook my head in distaste. She put them in an aluminium tin as a snack for when she is peckish.

Anyway, if anyone could come up with some good excuses as to why I just finished them off tonight, I would be grateful.

"Because it was there."

Isn't that your usual excuse?
I apologise, in advance.

My son gave me a voucher for a local restaurant and, last week, my wife and I took up the offer. For starters, we had cod cheeks with chilli jam. I have no idea what cod cheeks are. I'm guessing they're preferable to haddock nostrils.

Maybe they have an addictive combination of spices much like zesty cheese Doritos?

Two questions:

Did all the zesty cheese Doritos get eaten in one evening?

Were they yours?
