We haven't had a discussion about football for a while. I reckon it's a pretty good day to bring up the subject again, don't you, Roger?

The day's gonna get even better still - I'm out to sing karaoke later!

I've only been doing it a couple of weeks, but already my singing's getting people up on the floor. Last week, a few got up in anticipation as soon as I walked in, and they'd been sitting nursing their drinks all day. It's a great feeling. The landlady wants me to do a regular spot at closing-time, which is a bit of an honour as it'll be the last song.

Do they have to get out of their strait-jackets to clap?

In my day they used to just ring a bell to get everyone out.

You really want to be my double-act partner, don't you Vulch?

I was thinking of asking Mince, but he seems to be lacking a brain and I wanted a complete clown.

Good idea! Maybe Diane can give me a part in the next Beau Peep Panto, or whatever she calls it.
