Taxi, boat, train and plane tomorrow, Roger. Water Buffalo at the other end.

Can't you settle for a club sandwich like most people?
I apologise, in advance.

Don't drink the water. I'm not kidding.
I'm sure you're a seasoned world traveller, etc, and I'm not trying to teach my granny to suck eggs, but you should take care to avoid the local water, don't take ice in your drinks and don't eat fruit that's been washed with local water. Live on bottled water.

If you decide to treat this advice in a devil-may-care fashion, I guarantee you will incur a severe dose of the runny bum-bum that will make your return journey a nightmare.

Have a LOVELY holiday.

So Roger and TTIII are going to a cartoonist?s convention and Nige is venturing into parts of the deepest, darkest jungle on a water buffalo.

I am going to a BBQ Saturday night.

It?s going to be a quiet weekend back here in Peepsvile.

People will come from strange lands to hear me speak my words of wisdom. They will ask me the secret of life and I will tell them. Then maybe I'll finish off with a song. The Nomad

....and for one mad moment, my dear sister-in-law thought her beloved was whisking her off for a romantic weekend  :-\

I'll take my little ukulele and Roger and I shall serenade the ladies all evening, in between talking fitba'.
I apologise, in advance.

Manila is an amazing city. Coming out of the airport was like stepping onto a James Bond film set! Traffic is choc-a-bloc heavy and manic 24 hours a day. The place never sleeps. Fabulous food everywhere and so cheap. People are lovely. After staying here a few days we are going round some other islands. 4 flights prepared for about 95 quid each!

Malc - I have been so careful, but this morning had some cold draught lemonade. Within an hour I was having stomach cramps etc! All fixed quickly with tablets thankfully!
