Happy New Year to you all and thanks for all the good wishes.

Hospital turkey proved to be more edible than I imagined (although not in the league of the feast served up by my brother).
I was especially glad to find that Santa Claus is a woman, having spied her as she made her way around the wards about 12.30 a.m.
