Are you seriously trying to tell me you've never Googled "Chicken Song" before, Quorny?  :\

Not even when I had more time on my hands.

Oh, you'd still manage to get through. You always do. And you're probably taking that as a compliment, aren't you?  ..0

I'm tempted to delve into your definition of "through", specifically whether it refers to "ears" or "thick skull", but I'll refrain.  ;D

Refraining's good.
I apologise, in advance.

I don't know why I bother...   Undaunted, unabashed and ever relentless however I now present songs from 1960 to 1964, again I emphasise these are not my favourites, just one's that have "stuck with me" over time...   If I have the year wrong, who cares...

1960:   https://youtu.be/PXvKAWiU_cQ
1961:   https://youtu.be/QueE3230o5c
1962:   https://youtu.be/DnBM4TV6JCU
1963:   https://youtu.be/_zpOc9n7dlI

and finally 1964:   https://youtu.be/4c9W2-uGvQQ

My music muse continues, sorry...

I ... feel like a spring chicken once again.

Is that a chicken filled with industrial toxins, human-transferable viruses, parasitic worms, excessive salt, neurotoxins, banned medications, glycotoxins, and antibiotics?

Yes, that's about how I feel plus I have an ache in my leg since it started snowing.

Could be useful though, a leg that snows...you could make a fortune on the ski circuit in a mild winter...

I'm jealous, about the only places I am ever likely to suffer from dandruff are my ears and my nostrils.

What's great about this is that, many years after the release of the song, the band was asked to explain the profundity of the lyrics.
"Absolute gibberish. We used the first thing that came into our heads."

"Whiter Shade of Pale", classic, so you get a point.   You lose ten points for the second track, a net from eleven, one point for a classic "Duelling Banjos" and minus ten for annoying kids.   Harsh but fair.

Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.

This was a line from "The Detectorists" - not sure who said it.

I dare say it's been said before even that programme.
