Wow... looks interesting. Reckon you could do a 360 degree spin on that?

On second thoughts, I can't put a car seat in my car for my wee grand daughter, I foresee a lot of fallen ceilings.  ;D

That's how I lost my chandeliers!  ..0

I was just about to say how do you know they're toy boys, Roger, when the sexiest toy boy of them all appeared on the breakfast show here.  Hugh Jackman is on an island in Sydney Harbour, doing a press thingy for the next X-Men movie.  He's married to a woman 13 years his senior and a year younger than I am, plus he's such a good bloke.  He can drop in on me in his helicopter any time he likes.  In fact, now would be a good time, Hugh - just sent hubby out on some shopping chores.  See you on your lunch break.  Should only take you about 10 minutes in the chopper.  Haven't got one of Malc's contraptions, but I'm sure we could improvise.  ;D

Did I just type that - what a fantasy!  I need another cup of coffee.

Good on you Diane.  Take Vulch's advice and make good use of them.  ;)

PS You lot are not allowed to look up Hugh Jackman's age!

In one of my favourite programmes, Scrubs, Dr. Cox has a running gag about how much he loathes Hugh Jackman.
He's probably looking at him in a different light to you, Joan.

One would hope so, Roger.  ;)  I've only seen a few episodes of Scrubs, but isn't Dr. Cox the one who loathes everybody and everything?  What's not to like about Hugh? ... Maybe I shouldn't have asked that question, but any time I've heard or seen him interviewed, he's seemed like a really nice guy.  You can never tell with actors and performers, though.  They're very good at pulling the wool over your eyes.

I bought Australia to watch over the holiday weekend. I loved Far and Away so I figured this one would also be a keeper.

He could be both, Joan. Did you ever see him getting "punk'd" on one of those stupid shows?
He came out of it very well, and I don't think they try to punk people who have bad characters or are likely to react in an adverse way.

Basically they set Jackman up so that he thought he'd burnt down his director's house! The film crew used all their expertise to make it look like the house had gone up in a huge conflagration - flames were leaping twenty feet.

No, didn't see it, Malc. As you say, though, he doesn't seem the type that would react badly - very "go with the flow", I think.  Wouldn't like to try something like that on Russell Crowe!

I got Australia last Friday, Diane - was on special in Borders and hubby went back to buy it for me, even though it was about half an hour out of his way and he can't stand that sort of movie.  Wouldn't have bothered if we hadn't recently bought a 50" plasma TV (our old one was about 16 years old, 26", and the picture was green, so we don't know ourselves now).  It's definitely best on a biggish screen, to get a good perspective on the landscape - beautiful cinematography.  Hugh looks bigger too, of course!

I just noticed I'm legless - I think I liked it better when I was tipsy.  And how come Roger and Malc are Brilliant Blokes and Diane and I are in various stages of extreme inebriation??  ???

Well I definitely don't want to be a twat.  Who has the power to decide these things, anyway?  Is it Peepsie?

beautiful cinematography

That was the only thing that kept me going - the acting and the storyline was cartoony (no offence Roger) - I was also hooked on seeing just how tight Nicole Kidman could wear her shirts and still breathe.

Not me, Joan! We have an operative in our Pilchard Department who looks after that side of things.  ..0

UPDATE: I have now had SIX offers - 8 if you count the lesbian and the young Philipino boy.

Hubby is helping with the dishes as I type. :-)

Can I just interject here and say it's actually filipino. (Just in case you need to use the word in a strip, Roger.)
