I had a good chuckle at some of those. What a buffoon.
Nostalgia is not what it used to be. 😟

Even though I'm anti Monarchist, I admire the fact the woman has managed to spin it out this long. She's obviously going for the title, Longest Serving British Monarch In History. I think she's nearly toppled Queen Vic's record.

Gawd bless 'em all! They are a cartoonist's gift from Heaven.

I did this about 15 years ago - it still applies this and every year...

I apologise, in advance.

I'm sure I saw this in the paper when I was at my mother's. Was it the Daily Record? It stuck in my memory because I thought it was too good for the paper.

Having said that, and looking at the detail, I noted the ice cream epaulette buttons and the - what IS that hanging from her maj's ears?

Daily Record it was, Malc - thank you for remembering, and thanks for the smileys, folks!

I think the earrings were meant to be caveman-type clubs (I'd often give make them executioner's axes), but the epaulettes were definitely not ice creams. Think corgis...
I apologise, in advance.
