Star [Victim] of the week
« on: April 27, 2012, 10:12:39 AM »
In another topic Bilthehut resurrected an old questionnaire created by Diane, who acknowledged it was, shall we say, a tad intrusive [to almost a morticians level one might add].   It got me thinking it might be interesting to subject honour a fellow forum member with a series of questions [maximum of three?] from some/none/all of the other members.   Naturally this could prove contentious, so it would seem only fair that as the instigator I should be subjected honoured first, therefore I nominate Bilthehut.

So Bilthehut, my questions are as follows, naturally candour, disclosure and even a hint of truth would be appreciated in any responses you might care to make.

1   You’re on a ship and it is unfortunate enough to be sinking, one lifeboat remains with only two places available, and there are three remaining passengers, so if you had to make the decision, who would be saved?   Your three passengers are yourself, Roger Kettle and Jane Fonda [looking rather attractive in one of those outfits from the film Barbarella].

2   Who told you the truth about Santa?

3   Politically speaking do you swing to the left, swing to the right or just dangle in the middle?

1.   Jane and myself.  I'm not that stupid.

2.   Santa.  I tortured it out of him using flaming marshmallows and brandy.

3.   No comment.   But all politicians are number 1 on the list (unless they can prove they are human and have a soul).

 ;D ;D

A tad quick on the nomination however, you may have other questions to face from other members and if you don't, and as topic is interactive in nature, its lifespan may not stretch to a second victim guest, I await with bated breath...

I've got dead relatives who... looks like we may have to switch to one on one action Bilthehut, cos it would be unfair to do otherwise than let you have three questions in return.  I will of course, as the man who almost married Sophia Loren [if only we had met, it was fated but for that one insignificant detail], respond with limited honestly, very limited intelligence and practically no dry wit whatsoever.   I'd say choose wisely Luke Skywalker but given you are the guru...

I'm not falling for that one.  Be careful that the exalted ones who have been here for sooo long do not get annoyed by your continual posts.  I was reined in for being too interactive as a fledgling poster.  I now pick my topics carefully.

However....

1.  You're in a lift with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.  The lift gets stuck and there is no alarm bell.  Do you ... A. Make out with Brad?  B. make out with Angelina?  C.  Wake up?  D.  Other.

2.  Why is the answer to life Forty Two?

3.   Place the following in order...   Politicians.  Journalists.  Lawyers.  Cold Callers.  Hackers.

Thanks, I was picking that up already, maybe I'll hit a hundred posts and retire, which is a shame because there is a lot of pretty sharp and smart humour here, but life's too short and I can always go back to talking to myself.

As for your questions, ouch.

1   Difficult choice but given that option "C" allows for a possible dream scenario it would have to be "B" only I'd be Jennifer Aniston

2   Cos it's like...the answer to everything man...the universe n stuff, the ultimate question resolved...

3   Agh!   Politicians, Lawyers [real close second], Cold Callers, Journalists and Hackers

I feel like I went a little easier on you, that last one was so depressing!

I've no idea whose turn it is to answer, but to whichever of you it is...

1. If you could travel back in time to any point in history, when would it be?

2. Why don't people wear hats anymore (other than if they're robbing somewhere or otherwise up to no good)?

3. In the future, when the military is all about flying around in spaceships, who's in charge of said ships - the Navy (they are ships, after all) or the Air Force (they do fly, after all)?

Me, me, me! Bagsy first.

1.  Roman centurion me.  Alternatively, early enough to have emigrated to the USA, so I could have joined NASA and been an astronaut and gone to the Moon.

2.  Up to a week ago, I have worn hats as part of my job.  I still wear one when walking the dog in the rain.  People do wear hats now, but they are baseball caps.   Trends come and go and people wear hats more for function rather than fashion (except for the baseball caps that is).

3.  The Space Force, duh!  Created from the Army, as the Air Force were in the past.  Sailors can still do their floaty thing in that wet stuff, and the fly boys can still sit around drinking tea in their 5 star hotels complaining that the weather is not quite right for flying.

As Bilthehut was victim of the week, the honour falls to him naturally, besides which he got here before I did.   That doesn't however preclude me from ripping to shreds commenting on his answers.

The man just wants to either wear a skirt or weigh less, either way I think his feminine side just popped out.

Da*n, can't think of anything

Unreal, if we leave it to the pongo's we'll never get off the planet, I completely agree with my learned colleague on the wafoo's, which leaves...oh yes, the Senior Service, who serve in big grey coloured things called...ships.  Throw in the Royal Marines for the nasty fightie stuff and a Space Force is born.

Methinks the only thing that could have 'popped out' of the 'skirt' would most definitely not be of the feminine side.
Besides which, are you really thinking that the roman centurions were girlies?  'Gladiator' springs to mind.

Not at all, but you're not a roman centurion so I figured you were fair game for the wants to wear a skirt routine, I wouldn't say that to an actual roman centurion, I couldn't find one.
