We survived the trip and the cooking (so far) and plan to watch movies and play games and eat a turkey I cook tomorrow (B0xing Day) - I just wasn't brave enough to try the MIL undercooked turkey that was defosted on the kitchen sink overnight.

I got some non-sucky gifts this year!

Here is my favourite: http://www.tenthousandvillages.ca/cgi-bin/category.cgi?type=store&item=5404532&category=search I not only like the teapot but the fair trade behind it.

I suppose you could put hot chocolate or vodka in one Vulch - it is just tradition that says they are for tea.

I am a bit concerned about that fair trade company as it sells IVORY!

Probably recycled piano keys, Diane - don't fret.
I apologise, in advance.

That's a lovely teapot, Diane.  I'm sure they wouldn't sell illegal ivory.  They have some nice things - pity they only ship in Canada - probably similar stores here, though.

I got an iPod Nano for my Christmas, which was a lovely surprise.  I've always had el cheapo MP3 players which don't do much but play the songs one after another.  This one even plays videos and can take videos as well. Just being able to pick which song to play is a big improvement!
