I ought to have one of those! Great idea...

Lucy can't come out tonight as she's been working all day and is tired, so, really, it wouldn't be fair for me to go out alone.

I'll probably start at the Black Bull, then have a couple in the Golfers Bar, before doing a few songs once my tonsils are lube'd at the Palace.

Just remembered I had my tonsils out when I was 11.

We went out last night and I did a song at a different venue (The Esplanade). You get to perform on a stage there!

Just an idea Lucy but you could buy him a big tin of sticky toffee for Christmas.
People will come from strange lands to hear me speak my words of wisdom. They will ask me the secret of life and I will tell them. Then maybe I'll finish off with a song. The Nomad

Lucy, I'm sure there are other hobbies out there that will suit the tiny brain of Peeps. How about: coal-mining for beginners?; teach yourself how to become a human being?; lace making (otherwise known as 'tatting', I believe)?

You could always trade him in for a younger model. They're easier to train. The older ones are usually too set in their ways.

Lucy doesn't actually live with me, Pete.

I've decided to do the right thing and stay in, out of loyalty.

It's also raining heavily.

Peeps, I've just listened to that song you posted and---how can I put this? It's an average song with average guitar work and dreadful lyrics. Please tell me you don't sing this on Karaoke nights.

It used to sound good from a juke-box in a coffee-bar on Margate seafront.  :-[

Ah, that explains it! I used to love those old coffee bar days. I would always go to the jukebox and pick obscure B-sides in an attempt to appear cool. While everyone else went for "Satisfaction" or whatever by The Stones, I would pick "Spider and the Fly" on the flipside and stroll nonchalantly back to my glass of milk. (This was another attempt at being cool---everybody else was drinking coffee).
I didn't do too well with girls back then.
