Stephen George Bull MBE was playing in the THIRD division at the time. An utter joy to watch, and I was privileged to be a season ticket holder at the Molineux at that time. He banged in both goals against Czechoslovakia too, and earned his place in the World Cup squad. If only they'd played him more whilst out there!

Here's a question for you.

What is the connection between Steve Bull and Mince?
Nostalgia is not what it used to be. 😟

You make mince from bulls?
Neither of them has played for a decent football team?
They've both got silly names?
You love them both?

Hey - You make Mince from Bulls is good!

Not sure about the others... :\

The proper answer is that Spag Bol is Bully's favourite meal, (and it's made from mince!).
Nostalgia is not what it used to be. 😟

I do agree that Steve Bull's England career is one of the great stories of football. I heard he was offered big contracts with major clubs but turned them down to stay with Wolves.

A real Alf Tupper.

In my usual thread-closing way, I offer the name of Hot Shot Hamish.
