Ha ha - that made me laugh! Maybe I should write one. Ex Hale would obviously be the "punchline".
Nostalgia is not what it used to be. 😟

Reporting back on names...

My neice has a facebook friend called Misty Meints - sounds like a Scottish/German sweety company.
People will come from strange lands to hear me speak my words of wisdom. They will ask me the secret of life and I will tell them. Then maybe I'll finish off with a song. The Nomad

When I was a student in a land long, long ago  I knew a girl from Ghana called Mary Oshitalu...appropriate I should remember her today on my birthday when that time is as clear as a bell and yesterday's choice for lunch isn't.

You left that bit out, Diamond Lil.

I deliberately left that errant apostrophe there for Mince to see, and comment, but my little trick was that without a definite noun there's no definite proof the apostrophe is errant, but he didn't bite. The man is good. Or not very interested.

Nice try, Malc. Hard to believe that he's not interested in an errant apostrophe, though

I used to be in love with Nyree Dawn Porter! She was in a brilliant series called "The Liars" in the sixties.
I...um...still don't understand "Nyree Dawn Porter Purse".

Don't know if you're still interested, Rog, but it seems to me that it is meant to be a pun - Nyree Dawn bought a Purse.
I know a young lad Davidson whose parents christened him Marley.
