Names have been in the news today. Names such as:
Justin Case
Barb Dwyer
Stan Still
Terry Bull
Paige Turner
Mary Christmas
Anna Sasin
Rose Bush
Annette Curtain
Jo King
(There's more on the BBC News site!)

I used to work with Wendy Miller, and knew an Andy Mann.

Do you (or did you) know anyone with a similar kind of name?

I knew a guy with the surname Stones who married a Ruby.

My neice dated a Herbie Shitz -we all thought Herbie was a silly name.

I used to be in love with Nyree Dawn Porter! She was in a brilliant series called "The Liars" in the sixties.
I...um...still don't understand "Nyree Dawn Porter Purse".

Hmmm, people in some areas also like the actors and actresses who appear in popular television programmes Roger.

In this case, Mr and Mrs Purse decided Nyree Dawn Porter was the ideal set of christian names for their new daughter.

Max, I finally understand! I was looking for some kind of pun in the name, rather than some strange parents naming ther daughter after a T.V. star. It's a bit like those dads who name their sons after entire football teams. Apologies for my density.

It's real names we're looking for, Malcolm - not nick-names at school.

My youngest son is named Peter Daniel. There was a Peter Daniel playing for Wolves at around the time, but I'm sure that didn't influence our choice...

There was a Jack Haugh who worked at a company in Wolverhampton I did artwork for some years ago.

Mince - I haven't had a far queue experience, but I once advised an enquiring lorry driver to fork off at a subsequent road junction.
