Australian TV drama consists of people in uniform carrying on their romantic liaisons with colleagues whilst rapelling down the sides of buildings.
I saw those previews too, Malc - forgot when it was on, though. Saw one episode last season, but most of the steamy bits were in the locker room.
I remember being amazed the first time I landed at an antipodean airport (it was Auckland, but the same thing happened in Australia) and before we were allowed to move, these men in short sleeved shirts, ties on, shorts, long socks and lace-up shoes came down the aisles spraying insecticide into the air. The flight attendants had already had one go, so it wasn't the spraying that got to me, it was the sight of these grown men in shorts and long socks. By the time you came here, Malc, they may have decided that they probably weren't just killing the insects, but possibly the people too and stopped doing it. I realised, when I became part of the work force, that this was the "uniform" for most males in the public service. This was the '80s and you won't see them in Sydney any more, but maybe in your neck of the woods, Malc?
