I was picking up cream pies on the 10 for $10 sale. I had 20 in my cart ? ten for the freezer and 10 to take to a community event this evening.
The manager came up to me and warned me that I would be charged full price for over 10 pies. I thanked him for letting me know (as I hadn?t read the small print) but said that they weren?t all for my family anyway, I was taking 10 to a community event. He suggested I could come back next week or later in the day to get pies more if I wanted.
That was when I got a little miffed as he could have waived the limit, and said ? it is too bad that you are encouraging people to be dishonest in order to get a good deal.
Then he said that he had to make sure everyone got pie and was trying to be fair- it was at that time when I pointed out that HE had just told me to come back later and get more pie and therefore questioned his definition of fair.
That was when the power hungry, dishonest little hypocrite got on his high horse and said that he did have to power to limit quantities if I were to come back for more pie.
I feel like those guys in the movie Oh Brother Where Art Thou who wondered if they were banned from the one Wall-mart or the whole chain ? I am just banned from repeat sales deals at the one Co-op at this point.
Ironically, I don?t even eat the pies as they taste like shaving cream on cardboard (kids love ?em).
