The Wet Stuff.

It started raining here at nine o'clock on Wednesday evening and, thirty six hours later, it's still tipping down. This is all part of the "Barbecue Summer" promised by the forecasters in April---it has pissed down virtually every second day since they opened their mouths. Are weather "experts" the same all over the world? In Canada or Australia, for example?

We had horizontal rain yesterday. Came right in through the side of the window and wet the computer monitor.

I think we're still in the tail-end of Hurricane Bill.

We have had a drought and an infestation of grasshoppers. We had to sell off our heifers as we wern't able to grow enough hay to feed them through the winter.

Farming sucks.

The forecasters here are pretty well spot on. I also have radar on the computer, which helps to ascertain whether we should be going for indoor training or whether the rain will pass.

We made the Grand Final today, knocking off the league leaders 3-1. Don't know if I already posted that.

We need the rain here again.  Told my friend who's in Scotland now to bring some back with her - don't think she wants to do that!  The radar's very useful, isn't it Malc? They've just installed a new radar thingy up the road from us.  It looks like a giant golfball on a tee. Some photos here

This time last year I was in Gloucester - it was living up to its nursery rhyme with lots of showers.
