Have you started now?

We have the domain name and virtual server set up, but the only access to it would be through my existing control panel. (I have numerous other sites hosted via this control panel.) Mince needs to have access so he can work his wizardry. Mince having access to my control panel doesn't bear thinking about.

With the help of the hosting company, I've managed to create a new control panel, just for Mince, and they are going to move the domain and virtual server to that. Should be tomorrow.

Nostalgia is not what it used to be. 😟

I honestly haven't a clue what that was all about. Roger, could you please explain it to us?
I apologise, in advance.

It's all about control panel access, Tarks. Thankfully, we've got the virtual server in place which helps the process along. If you're using a laptop, you may have to slap the lid a few times to get it all going.

And keep in mind that Roger knows virtually nothing.

Would this by synchronised lid snapping Roger? If so what hour in GMT? I'm sure those of us in Canada and Austrailia would want to do our bit even if it means staying up past our bedtime.

Although I'm not using a laptop, if a group lid slapping is required I'm sure I've a lid somewhere I can slap.

The best time for the group lid slapping is 12:34AM GMT. Make sure you sing "I've just come back from the Windy City...." as you do so, since this helps along the "process", as Roger so eloquently put it.

I'll be in bed but I'll set my alarm so I can sing along.

Time suits me fine - should still be having breakfast. I'm running late this morning. Just off on my walk.  Beautiful spring morning here - not a cloud in the sky, slight breeze making the leaves on the trees glisten in the sunlight. The spiders have been hard at work in between the pool fence posts and their webs are glistening as well.  Excuse me, there's a ruddy great huge rabbit just hopped along the side of the pool - she dashes out to yell at it before it munches on the new plants!

It's hiding somewhere out there.  I miss Ben - he never caught any (thank goodness) but he gave them a good run for their money.  :)

It concerns  me somewhat that I understood everything Peeps said.  I'm turning into a geek!

I'm a bit frustrated at the moment. I bought another domain name today, as well as a virtual server to go with it. I've uploaded a new website and have a form on there. However, even though I've configured it correctly, (as far as I can see), and uploaded the FormMail.pl to the cgi-bin - it's not working!

Has the work been completed now? I've noticed that I can access the forum now, whereas this morning I received a message saying the service had been suspended.

Yes, the service was suspended because the toss-pots hadn't realised they'd been paid an excess fee by BACS. That's twice that's happened.

I'm working with Mince to switch forums, but its bloody hopeless. We're almost there. He's been threatening to say I'm slagging people off, which all my friends, especially the dear ones, like Diane, will know isn't like me at all.

It sounds like you're busy. I'll leave you to it then.
