Book Discussion: Loads of Cartoons

I finally broke down and bought a paper copy of Nige’s book and it came in the mail today. I thought we should dedicate a thread to the book.

On the cover page one postie says to another “Is is you that does the round by the golf course?” – I don’t know why to laugh – the postie has golf clubs sticking out his mail bag. Does he plan to sneak off for a game of golf or did he find them at the golf course?

Well, I don't want to comment until I receive the book that Nige promised to send me. (I did try to buy it online but got confused by the instructions and ended up with a Russian bride).

Ooo, I'd forgotten about Nige's book. Have to have another squizz at it.  Later - it's on the pc and I'm on the laptop.

I've got loads of e-books on my PC, but not that one. Unfortunately, my PC has gone ka-boing and I can't get to any of them right now...  :(

Roger, you're the technical expert here: translate that jargon for us.

I wanted to ask Roger if he could de-mime a pfj upload for the strips html, (before I went away), but didn't know whether he'd have wanted a blag system in which to twitter the pastes. Depends what softway system he's running - Lynus or Microsite, I suppose.

I would, indeed, have wanted a blag system in which to twitter the pastes. More than anything.

I wasn't sure if Windows would allow "trad" ftp protocol though, Roger. (I'm pretty sure you run that session on your hard drive?)

While I run most sessions on my hard drive, "trad" ftp protocol just can't get through my Windows. I have to link up my bozzler to the GPP 87 and re-route the whole programme. It's time consuming but worth it.

Sir Stanley Unwin would be well proud of that load of bollox.
I apologise, in advance.
