New Dessert Invented
« on: December 20, 2009, 01:53:24 AM »
I may have just invented a new dessert. Randy cooked twice as much spaghetti as we could eat; I added brown sugar, raisins, cinnamon, a little flour and eggs (forgot about oil!) and have it baking in the oven in a cake pan.

Now what I need is a cool name for it.

I think you should call it by the local native name for leftover food (which of course you researched), which is Whadawigonna. As in "whadawigonna do with all this?"

Yes, I can hear the sound of tom-toms emanating from a circle of tepees now, as the pipe is passed around, the dancers whirl, dressed as giant scrub turkeys and native spirits, looking forward to a feast of whadawigonna.

I am having some right now with cream cheese frosting - it is pretty bad this whatawigonna - a bit how I imagine worm pie would be like. THere are chewy bits and stringy bits.

Still, where would we be if we didn't experiment? You tried and that's the main thing. I would rename the Whadwigonna "I Know Whadwigonna"

Don't know if Heston Blumenthal has reached Canada?  His Christmas feast this year included white chocolate mice which were just that.....mouse pate in a white chocolate mould....and you're worried about chewy and stringy bits in a spaghetti cake??
