The Music Of "Scrubs" (part two).
« on: June 21, 2010, 08:17:19 PM »
As I've mentioned several times, I'm a fan of the American sitcom "Scrubs" and it's introduced me to some music that I probably wouldn't have heard otherwise. Which brings me to "The Book Of Love" by Peter Gabriel. Okay, it's a bit schmaltzy but I really like it. The ability that I briefly had to link stuff from YouTube has gone, so check it out yourselves.

Roger.  Seriously well done, there.  I am still screwing up the links to insert video and don't know how.

It was a beautiful ending to Scrubs.

Although they apparently then went on to make another series, with a mostly new cast. Sadly, JD turning up as a minor character semi-regularly kind of undermines the whole leaving episode.

Reportedly it wasn't very good either. I'm not sure if I'll watch it when it makes its way over here. I suppose I'll give it a chance.

Very nice, Roger.  Bill, I think you just copy and paste the URL.

Worked for me when I tried just now.  If it's from Youtube, click on the "Share" button and you'll see the URL.

Joan,  Thank you for making the effort to help.  Peeps has done so in the past few times by amending my post - for which I have thanked hip (just to keep him happy).

I had been using the wrong link creator in You Tube (the 'embed' one), rather than the 'share' one.  I am now ready for the big event tomorrow.

All you do is stick (html) before the YouTube ember code, and (/html) after the code. CHANGE the brackets from curvy, sensuous brackets, to square ones - [ & ]. Had I put them in my instructions, they wouldn't have shown up.
Nostalgia is not what it used to be. 😟

I think the system is 'shapist'.  What's wrong with curvy ( ), sensuous { } , and weird < > ?

To elaborate on my previous problem with embedding code, because I used the'embed' button, it gave a mass of code.  Even when I tried to copy the <html> (brackets changed to protect the innocent [ & ] ), it did not always work.  Now I'm using the right code button, I don't seem to have a problem.

Thanks, Peeps.

Mince is in charge of the technical side of things, so there can be moments when things don't work. He does his best, has a heart of gold, and is good with his fins, so best not to be too hard on him.

He's often away with Peter, and it can be ages between their visits.
