Bit of class
« on: July 19, 2010, 09:18:41 AM »
I think the forum is nosediving into the stupid, so we all ought to make a concerted effort to pull the forum out of its dive, gain considerable height, and then level off at a more intelligent level.

So, everyone, say something intelligent.

Maybe we should get rid of some of the riff-raff freeloaders, like Roger.

I'm waiting for you to say something intelligent first. I've looked through a lot of your posts but haven't found anything yet!

Does posting some historical facts about 6 July count?  On second thoughts, that is just repeating facts, not showing intelligence.  Oh, but does realising this count as intelligence?

Well I won't be saying anything clever I caught CBS at the Rodeo yesterday. (Cerebral Butt Syndrome - is where the numbness in your butt rises up your spinal column).
People will come from strange lands to hear me speak my words of wisdom. They will ask me the secret of life and I will tell them. Then maybe I'll finish off with a song. The Nomad

4 Aces Lounge

Many years ago, my friend and I were in this bar in Hardin, Montana. The barmaid worked the rodeos during the Summer and tended bar during the Winter. She was small, cute and really friendly. Then she told us how, the night before, she'd sorted out one of the local cowboys with a few quiet words and a pool cue. The Crow and Cheyenne Indians, who live in the area, are only allowed to be served alcohol through a mesh window.
It's a very strange town.
