More wit from the Kettle pen...

This was Roger's own choice of caption, having won the previous week, and it netted him the bronze medal.
I apologise, in advance.

This one was actually Roger's second choice for this particular week. I'll explain why in the next post, but it got him yet another bronze that week, narrowly missing out on the silver by one point.

I apologise, in advance.

So, here we have Roger's first choice for that week, but when he logged in to post it, he found that some other blighter had beaten him to the Moses theme, hence the hasty rethink. I also include that other blighter's entry, to illustrate the point. Said blighter probably did Roger a favour, mind you, since he got far fewer votes than Roger for his Moses effort.
I apologise, in advance.

And finally for now, and just outside the medals that week, there's this...

I apologise, in advance.

Roger - loved the snail (that word is just priceless and apt sometimes).  The pandas were great.

Tarks - the effort you must go to to produce your cartoons.  There's so much life in them - I particularly liked the sniggering going on in the background.  And, thank you again for posting these cartoons by yourself and Roger.

Yes, thanks for doing all this, Tarks. It's quite interesting---even for me---to see this stuff again.

Yeah, perhaps, but I bet he can't draw three bunches of kids, carrying three banners saying "Team Chocolate", "Team Zyon" and "Team Ragee", with a referee in the middle, and a banner behind saying "Team Wars", and the kids challenging each other with pointed fingers.

Bet he can't do that.

In colour.

Roger, I think when you have reached 200 cartoons, you should put a book together like Nige did. I would buy a few!

I think it's clear from this topic that Roger is both modest and something of a perfectionist, and won't publish something that he personally doesn't believe is of a high enough standard to warrant publishing, even though others may disagree.

Personally, I'd be be glad to have any old crap published if people were gullible enough to buy it and it made me a few quid.

Diane, would you like to buy my picture of a house?

I can see this starting off a bidding war. Diane, you go first.
