Look here, Mincey! Don't you go deriding Facebook until you know what you're talking about! You just need to know how to use it properly. It's been a boon to me over the last few years. Would have been a much sadder life for me without it, I can tell you.
Well said, Joan. It's another example of "a little knowledge is a dangerous thing" when it comes to Mincie-poo's opinions. I was also disdainful of Facebook until I actually came to try it several years ago. It's been a real boon. I interact with friends involved in cartooning, also with family, some of which are distant cousins who I wouldn't be communicating with otherwise. Even if you casually see what such family members are getting up to, it keeps you in touch, and you can interact. I also interact with numerous small businesses and resorts out in the Philippines and the Far East, and there are benefits from that alone. Others who follow such places see you and become aware of you. Business used to be done on the golf course. Today, much is done via Facebook, and suchlike. The whole medium could have been just a kids' thing, but has actually developed into quite a sophisticated vehicle.
