Doc Martin

I am halfway through season 2 and one episode behind in season 5 - (having difficulty with a slow internet connection or I would have watched up to the end of season 4 by now).

Anyway this is one of the best TV shows I have seen in ages! I thought we should have a Doc Martin appreciation thread. Because the laughter is not canned you have to listen for the subtle humour. "Just a little prick" and "life goes one...except for Mrs Pratt obviously".  ;D ;D ;D

Are there any other British shows as good as this one made in the past 10 - 20 years that I could now catch up on with the internet?

People will come from strange lands to hear me speak my words of wisdom. They will ask me the secret of life and I will tell them. Then maybe I'll finish off with a song. The Nomad

This is a difficult one, Diane. My grandchildren swear by 'Shameless', but I can't stand it!

How do you 'accidentally open' a Christmas present and watch it for hours? NOW what are going to do on Christmas Day - re-wrap the present and pretend it's all a complete surprise? (You know you'll be on Santa's 'naughty' list!)

I'll take my chances.

Hi all, been dead busy me!

There is a great sit com, now in its 5th series.  A BBC production. "Not going out." stars Lee Mack a Northern comedian and Tim Vine another really good stand up who specialises in one liners...

Miranda Hart features in the early years as a cleaner. (Who went on to do her own sit com, which was also quite good, "Miranda")

Rapid gags, adult humour ish, but no swearing. I have to say it is may favourite at the moment, they are running repeats on comedy central and Dave channels, well worth a look. Even my wife likes it.

Apart from that I think we are lacking good telly humour...
