The “Awkward pause between the I wish you a Merry Christmas thread and the Happy New Year thread” thread.

My neighbour does things over the holidays - last year they went to Sweden or some such country where you bring cow bells home to give to your neighbours - this year the family is skiing, snowboarding and hot-tubbing it in Jasper (Banff National Park).

We sit around eating and watching movies and try playing board games in the evenings as it seems the thing to do.

What are you up to these in-between days?

Getting over man flu and dreading the coming weekend's dose of "merriment".

You would think that the whisky/whiskey (don't want to get in trouble over that again) would be a natural antiseptic and keep you germ free over the holidays.

Feel better soon - a round of golf in the fresh air would be good.

Well, I've been playing with my new gadget - a Samsung Galaxy Tab - and just generally relaxing.  The weather since Christmas day has not been nice until now. Sun is shining again, but it's still cool for this time of year.

Think I may go into town with a friend tomorrow or Friday to exchange John's belt for another size. So nothing very exciting.

Hope the wind isn't too bad, Roger, and you get a good round in!
