I am at a party and they are karaoke singing. In ' Total eclipse of the heart.' she sings:

I get a little bit tired of listening to the sound of my tears.

And all I thought is, ' Well either stop crying or invest in some noise-cancelling  headphones.

Can't be much of a party if they are singing Bonnie Tyler songs on the karaoke ...but still it sounds better than the sad jigsaw puzzle/sausage roll party I am throwing this year.
People will come from strange lands to hear me speak my words of wisdom. They will ask me the secret of life and I will tell them. Then maybe I'll finish off with a song. The Nomad

I initially mis-read that as "jigsaw puzzle/sausage roll throwing party" and thought it sounded like great fun.
