Gardening
« on: May 25, 2012, 12:26:20 AM »
We are only just about over our frost free nights here in northern Alberta. For about 5 days now have been gardening with gusto! I have not put this much effort into it for years - I am so ground-in-dirty I don't think my hands and feet will ever be clean again  ;D

I know how you feel, Diane. After weeks of staring at the jungle that is my garden, I finally got my act together and phoned my gardener.

THey are 4' X 16' freshly stained and waiting to get planted.  :)

I didn't like the common old ground.

Actually there are a lot of benefits for raised beds: warm up sooner in the spring, good drainage, intense planting rather than "farmer style" rows, easier to weed - cute.

What you're saying is you're bringing the ground up closer to you?

I wish I had a gardener named Gusto or Capability.
