Quiet at the back! Some of us are having a week-end sleep-in!

I have been busy getting my garden ready for the Jubilee weekend. I have two tubs of flowers in red, white and blue only the frost set the white and red ones back a bit when we forgot to bring those pots in one night and the blue are really more of a dark shade of purple but at least I tried. Then I have the Union Jack hung up in the gazebo – we will have a nice meal out there on Sunday and may drive to see the afternoon matinee 3D version of Men in Black III – for I’m sure that is what Her Majesty would prefer to do too if she had the chance.

People will come from strange lands to hear me speak my words of wisdom. They will ask me the secret of life and I will tell them. Then maybe I'll finish off with a song. The Nomad

My daughter and I also made a Jubilee Fairy Garden. We made the door, chimney, swing and boots out of polimer clay that you bake in the oven last night then put it together this morning. It was a big hit on Facebook so I thought I would show it off here too.

Hope the fairies appreciate all your work and show up for your Jubilee lunch today.  Enjoy! :)

I've been through this, Diane. You spend hours making a fairy garden then a bunch of goblins move in and trash the place.

I caught the tail end of the Jubilee concert on Sunday night and a couple of things occurred to me. Firstly, I have great sympathy with the Royals on these occasions. If they sit motionless throughout, they are accused of being stuffy killjoys. If they try to enter into the spirit of things by clapping and singing along, I'm sorry, but they look like utter twonks. In short, they just can't win.
The second thought that struck me was about Paul McCartney. Realising that he can no longer sustain a high note, he has developed a truncated, high-pitched yelp as a substitute which he manages to perform in key. Impressive.

That's Sir Paul McCartney to you, pal!
I apologise, in advance.

Hey, not sure if you all know, but apparently there was this whole day's celebration for this obscure person or royalty, whatever that is. Just found out.
