Can we all welcome Sandy Buttcheeks to the forum? I know this means writing something and being nice, but I am sure we can all manage it if we try.

Mmmmmm

So I have to identify myself as an Beau Peep Aficionado (you gorra love spell check !!) do I and not a spammer  !!!   Let me try then !!

Well having just added books 7 and 8 to my collection of another 9 at the outrageous price of about 7quid (for both of course...I'm not that daft !!) and being Scottish and brought up almost primarily on a diet of mince (deep fried, battered, raw.....you name it !!), I feel I qualify not only to be able to post quality humorous and insightful messages, but also to pass on generations of family mince tips for those who could benefit from them.

My children think that at the ancient age of 44, I should be considering a twilight career of salivating in nursing homes, but I refuse to drool without a fight....please let me post stuff to make them realize their inheritance is not within reach of their grubby paws yet !!

Thank you

Donald Bain

PS   if I can post, can I call myself Sandy Buttcheeks ???

Thank you one and all....well 3 and all i suppose ......tis a pleasure to be here !!!
May i say that there is, as yet, no family tartan, though i'm working hard with the blunt crayons that im allowed, to draw something that resembles the ill conceived itchy squared cloth of my forefathers (although two of them claimed not to be) that would grace any wedding ceremony north of Auchtermuchty.
The mince recipes of my mother and her mother before her and all the grannies who succumbed to mince-itis, i shall gladly share once i find the magic ingredient and remove it !! And as for the fried mars bar slur.....shame, shame, shame........i thought everyone knew that was a dessert and not a main !! So much for healthy eating education !!
Well must head off i suppose, its stopped raining up here, so im off to get the deckchairs out !!!    8) 8) 8)

Welcome Sandy Buttcheeks,

On behalf of the CBPFC we would like to start a fund to buy you a fold-up deck-chair, then you can change your name to Comfort Buttcheeks.

Why thank you, and may i accept this fine fundraising drive.

Please could it be one of the old classic wooden types, you know the ones that lie near horizontal and renders anyone over 60 unable to escape them. I have fond memories of Ayr beach, watching the incoming tide scaring the wrinklies into thrashing aimlessly in vain attempts to extricate themselves from just such chairs as the seagulls circled like vultures.....ah bliss !!!

Sandy, when you use two exclamation marks instead of a full stop, it suggests you're trying to compensate for the lack of humour in your writing with two huge "Look at me!" exclamation marks, or that you are so unconfident with your humour that you feel the need unsubtly to draw particular attention to it. I think I read that in Fowler's Modern English Usage. Or maybe I just made it up. :)
