Snapshot of life.
« on: November 04, 2012, 09:41:27 AM »
What's everyone up to today? My day rocks.

Let's see. Firstly, breakfast at Subway, the highlight of the day. Then it's off to go play hunt-the-flooring in various carpet/wood/laminate type establishments (a close second in the highlights, I'm sure you'll agree). Then it's dragged around some of Glasgows finest shopping areas with mibbe a game of spot-the-big-issue seller (not that difficult...look for a street corner), then it's off to the cinema to watch James Bloody Bond, with Daniel Bloody Craig. Well that is, if I can raise the cash to cover a family of four, which I intend to attempt with the sale of my car, my motorbike and my late granny.

Did I ever mention my dislike of Sundays?   >:(

I love Sundays: they are my slob days. I slob around in pjs, do my nails, pluck my brows, read, and today's highlight is watching the rain bucket down outside while I sit inside! Bliss....  :-*

There is a lot of snow on the ground but the sun is shining brightly and the skies are blue; with the clocks going back an hour here last night everyone is rested up and in holiday mode so I made eggs hollandaise for breakfast.

Just deciding what to do now – If we don’t go to the city to fix son’s truck, then I will groom some dogs (whilst listening to a book on tape) and then perhaps do something arty in the afternoon and/or take a nap. Yesterday I got a good deal for six months on a satellite TV package called “Movie Central” – I really wanted the AMC channel because that is where I keep up with the zombies on Sunday nights – they gave us a free trial for a month to get us hooked.

Life is good. I don’t have to take my daughter to see Twilight Bloody Breaking Dawn – Part Sodding Two for a few more weeks.
People will come from strange lands to hear me speak my words of wisdom. They will ask me the secret of life and I will tell them. Then maybe I'll finish off with a song. The Nomad

If it's any consolation Diane, I saw a trailer of it at James Bloody Bond, and it actually looks almost ok, but then again all the rest which I have sat through every minute of, were such utter mince (no offence Mince).

Don't anyone bother with Mr Bond either, unless your a fan of advertising...sorry, product placement. Let me see, there was Sony Vaio, Heineken, Courvoisier brandy (he couldn't even mention his Martini in one scene. Hilarious.), Jaguar, Sony Experia T and of course his Omega (?) watch. If the film had been in 3D, he would have shown us the time.

I guess I should have known it would be a poor day when we arrived at the flooring shop to find it had gone bust.

Did I mention I hate Sundays?

I'll miss my granny.

Strike this - I accidentally saw your profile and you're older than I thought; I'm not old enough to be your granny (I HATE 'Nana' - makes me think of a goat!), besides, my grand-daughter used to do my ironing and I bet you're as useless with an iron as you are with punctuation!  :P

Accidentally? Are you sure? Have you secretly been keeping an eye on your new grandson?    ;)

Anyway, I'm great with an iron I'll have you know. There's hardly a wrinkle on me.

Night night Nana.
