Things I have seen
« on: November 26, 2012, 10:11:56 AM »
I have seen some strange things in my time, but I am wondering whether anyone has seen anything weirder than Peepmaster.

Comments please.

Do I look weird? I don't think so. Regardless of anyone's favourite hairstyle, I sometimes wonder if there's an animal that it would be preferable to date if humans were not available.

Those of you you enjoy walking are sure to have done some stupid things whilst enjoying a ramble.

Whatever the biggest number in the world is, or the longest word, we've surely all seen things that can only be described as "weird"!

Women who can't use their cutlery in a ladylike manner, are generally those with hardly any Beau peep books, I assume - probably because they would be unlikely to ever fancy, or want to date a Beau Peep character!

I still get nuisance phone calls, but never a call from someone especially famous or desirable. Now that would be cool!

Talking of hairstyles, I sometimes look at old photos and see that there were certain periods of my life when my hair wasn't at its best. Immediately after being born, for example.

I don't wear skirts really, but it did get me thinking of how brave I would be regarding the hemline, if I did.

I don't have pets, and wonder how many I'd cope with having in my house at any one time. Some old biddies have houses full of cats, for example.

Ginger ale seems to be a popular drink in some parts of the world, but I can't imagine that everyone would have it as their favourite.

Giving names to visiting elks, or similar creatures would be fun. I'd have to think up quite a few if a pack of such creatures came calling.

I have only ever done one public speech, and that was as a best man at a wedding years ago. I am sure many that done done more.

Thre's a book  at our library - Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Nobody seems to want to read it.

Oh well - I have to pop out. I told Lucy I'd be watching the sky and looking for cloud formations. Some of the shapes can be really good for a giggle, as I'm sure many of you know.

By the way, I don't expect others to comment on my ramblings, especially Diane, as she's only on dial-up.

Speaking of rambling, I used to go rambling quite often at the weekends. Nice long walks through the countryside; we saw many strange things, but also did many silly things too. I remember one time when I thought that a small brown rotten fence post was actually the leg of an upturned deer. Boy, did I feel stupid. I'm sure nobody else has done anything stupid while out walking.

Quite a spiel Peeps, but definetly not worth commenting on by anyone. Well, apart from the cloud shapes and longest words maybe.

I agree, Sandy. It's such a long post that people should not even read it.

There's only one person on this board who's intelligent enough to comment on the points I made in my post, and she's in Canada, sadly - and only on dial-up.

I have not yet commented on your deep thoughts Peepmaster – too busy trying to figure out if they can be turned into the dogma of a new world religion – having trouble getting a permit from Visa or Mastercard though so it may be pointless.  We may have to be content taking over the talk show, bestseller and greeting card market.

It's best to just ignore what he says, Diane.

Oh no - I always enjoy Diane's analysis of my posts. She's never let me down in the past.

This reminds me of the old family story of when I left my daughter who was about 3 at the time for a short time in the care of her 11 year old brother (who had just taken a babysitter course – only boy there). Came home and asked how it went. “Evan would never let me down” she said – my mother’s heart swelled with pride at the wonderful sibling relationship I had helped nurture. That’s lovely I smiled (thinking I could go out again sometime). No! He put me on a shelf and wouldn’t let me down!

That's unfair. It's almost as if no one wants Diane to comment on my post. I was looking forward to hearing her perspective of the comments I'd made, so of course I'll be disappointed if she doesn't now. :-(
