As most of you know I go to weekly Toastmaster meetings – a place where you do all kinds of things to help with public speaking. One thing is the “Table Topics” we take turns being the Table Topics Master for the week and ask questions (usually 4); then the person asked has to stand up and try to speak for at least 60 seconds answering the question given them as best they can.
 
One of my questions last night…

E-Z Cracker: I get gifts like this from the in-laws each year, I have no storage space and frankly, unless you were cracking 200 eggs for a community breakfast, it would be so much more trouble to wash this thing out than crack the eggs by hand. Now that the Salvation Army thrift shop has closed in town – what can a person do with their most useless gifts, you know the ones too awful to re-gift? And as a little side note this E-Z Cracker will be awarded to the person who wins the table topics tonight.

And on a side note, the guy who won the E-Z Cracker for his answer about French Marigold Seeds, kindly gave it to another guy (the Catholic priest) who was interested in having it for his big church breakfasts.  Who would have thought this gift would have a happy ending.

Diane, I can't think of a more useless gadget than your "EZ Cracker". The name is even useless as it only works on your side of the Atlantic---over here, that would be pronounced "E-Zed Cracker". Surely, it would take longer to fit an egg into that contraption than it would to simply crack it on the edge of a bowl? Or am I missing something?
