I think we ought to vet our members, to cut down on the rubbish ones we keep getting, and perhaps we ought to apply the new criteria retroactively.

Here are my ideas:

1. must have read at least one Beau Peep strip;

2. must be able to drive a car.

I support this. There are women in Saudi Arabia putting their lives on the line, driving cars in broad daylight while certain cartoon writers sit cravenly on the bus, refusing to learn to drive.

Think of the lives I've saved....
The other day, my wife's car wouldn't start so she arranged for the local mechanic to pop by while she was at work. I was to give him the key when he arrived. He duly turned up at my door and then, turning towards the street, asked " Is your wife's car the Fiat Uno?" I stared blankly at him for several seconds before pointing at a vehicle I vaguely recognised and announced "It's that red one."
I have no idea what make it is.

Is this why Dennis has the obsession with getting a bike? Is it something subconscious?

If it IS subconscious, how would I know? Anyway, I really don't carsarethechariotsofhell believe in that subconscious mumbo-jumbo.

You're thinking of the plane that goes to Bombay's new airport.

Do you think they let the passengers hang on to the sides of the planes like they do with the trains?

I think if you can get through the password mindtrap, you deserve to be here.  Sometimes I don't and give up. No, I don't want to talk about it.
People will come from strange lands to hear me speak my words of wisdom. They will ask me the secret of life and I will tell them. Then maybe I'll finish off with a song. The Nomad
