Easter plans
« on: April 17, 2014, 08:44:24 PM »
So what is everyone doing for Easter?

Time for new Easter traditons around here I think as two of my kids won't be home and the other is getting too old for egg hunts. But of course I will bribe her to do it anyway by hiding a $5 bill in one of the plastic eggs  :)

That's ever so cynical and devious of you, Diane. I love it!

We're off early in the morning, heading for the Scottish Highlands for the week, where no doubt we'll be Easter Haggis Hunting and Nessie-spotting. Hoots mon, and other things Scots never say!  :D
I apologise, in advance.

I will be doing the same as I always am just now...studying. Just under a fortnight to my exams and then it's hopefully over for the year.

I do envy you, Diane. We never ever did the egg painting/hiding thing with the kids and for the last few years I honestly feel as if I have missed a chunk of something. My brother and his wife have not long had full adoption granted for a smashing wee boy, and they were up from down South at the weekend, and they too were talking about doing similar things. Think I'll appear uninvited at his house.   ;D

My parents were really old when they had me (45/50) and yet they still all the daft stuff - the egg and spoon races, the wafting the paper fish game, camping even!

I tried to pass a bit of that on, even though it seems silly.

Apparently, Nessie has been picked up on google---according to the Daily Mail online. The shores of Loch Ness might be pretty busy this weekend, Tarks!

I saw that photo. It was all over Facebook. Looks like a whale shark from warm tropical waters. I suspect some photoshopping skullduggery.
