I'm getting deja vu. Didn't we have this conversation back in March of 2008, culminating in Roger's cogent post about people being hanged on less evidence than there was for Nessie?

Couldn't agree more, Diane. But of course, she has been found, and by many hundreds of people over the years. Some of them undoubtedly deluded, duped or drunk. But not all of them. :D
