Favourite Board Game

So what is everyone's favourite board game? Has anyone played Risk, or Monopoly, or Totopoly?

Backgammon for me, especially the Greek version where they play three different games, Portes which is essentially the game played internationally, Plakoto and Fevga, and then do it all again, no doubling dice involved in any of the games.  I've played Risk and Monopoly, enjoy both, I used to play Chess quite a lot, but eventually decided I was no longer smart enough, I still enjoy Scrabble as well.

No idea what Risk or Totopoly are, but I detest Monopoly with a vengeance. Essentially, it teaches greed, fraud and the worship of money, and ought to be banned for everyone under the age of 90. And I always got the thimble. The ******* thimble!

I used to enjoy Trivial Pursuit, but not played it for years. And you'd think I might enjoy Pictionary, but I'm rubbish at it. Maybe if I didn't insist on inking and colouring every drawing...?
I apologise, in advance.

So you hate the competitive nature of the game?

;D I've witnessed your stubborn, all-for-nothing 'Game on!' competitiveness first hand. I bet you're possessed when playing board games.

I think you're confusing quiet resolve and determination, with competitiveness.  :\
I apologise, in advance.

Is this some strange new definition of the word 'quiet' that no one else in the world is aware of?

They put the car into the Monopoly game especially for Vegans. They were too weak to get around it on their own.

True story.

I was trying smooth over the obviously salacious aspects of Roger's lurid past and maintain the high respectable tone we've all come to expect on this board. I was also curious as to whether Roger ever had any trouble opening the box.
