Online annoyances (418).
« on: November 21, 2018, 07:57:37 PM »
For a long time now, I have been getting pop-ups suggesting I pay for an online security system. There are two options available, basically saying "Yes" or "No". This is not the actual wording, of course, but you get my drift. Originally, the "No" option was always on the left and I got into the habit of clicking on it instantly. One day, I was about to click on it again when I noticed the options had been reversed. I managed to stop myself at the last moment. Since then, the options on the pop-up remain the same for five or six times and then switch. I find this both annoying and extremely sneaky.

Is it legal?

They do sound like they are out to get you Roger.
People will come from strange lands to hear me speak my words of wisdom. They will ask me the secret of life and I will tell them. Then maybe I'll finish off with a song. The Nomad

Can you provide a screen shot?

If not, where do you see the popups?
