Roger Kettle is a Gentleman
« on: December 12, 2007, 03:24:04 AM »
He would never say, ?Buy this shirt you idiot!?  - I think the advertising should reflect more of Roger?s personality.

How could the wording be changed so that those old tee shirts can be unloaded with a little bit more of a classy sales pitch?

People will come from strange lands to hear me speak my words of wisdom. They will ask me the secret of life and I will tell them. Then maybe I'll finish off with a song. The Nomad

I'm assuming those old t-shirts are in boxes of 100 in varying sizes in Roger's garage, so the wording is, like the poor, always with us.

Unless you can apply some iron-on vinyl cover tape. How about obscuring the last word to have "Buy this shirt, you"?

Or the first word could be covered to leave "this shirt, you idiot!"

If only people would consult me before they rushed all giddy into these business ventures, the world would be a much happier place.

I had an order for a mug, yesterday. It briefly went through my mind that Mince's marketing slogan "Buy one, idiot!" might actually be working...  ::)
Nostalgia is not what it used to be. 😟

A truer word was never spoked.
I apologise, in advance.
