This is really bizarre. We get something as exquisitely beautiful as a unique snowflake crystal, surely one of Nature's most lovely creations, sandwiched between two real ugly choices, the latter of which (the old guy gurning with his cigarette), has to be the most hideous. Where's the logic?

Well, it's snowflakes for me. Your browser is caching the old woman with the fag; you need to force it to reload the image, which is now a snowflake.

Old woman? I thought it was Malc.

I actually thought of Malc on Xmas Day. Realising they were so many hours ahead of us. I thought of him lying stretched out on a beach, under the warmth of the sun, with a bottle of booze at his side...

Then I thought of the search-parties that could be out looking for him...

I was actually stretched out on a friend's veranda snoozing. Christmas day was overcast, and a lovely breeze wafted by all afternoon.

Every adult in the house was asleep! In the evening we all played cards. The Aussies know how to party.
