My Blog.
« on: January 07, 2007, 10:19:33 PM »
I can honestly say that I haven't had sex with Jennifer Aniston in the last 48 hours.
I wrote a series of Beau strips today about The Vultures and how proud they were of their heritage. They end  up with a rendition of  "Sing If You're Glad To Eat Prey". I then realised the song I was attempting to parody was about 25 years old. Cutting edge stuff, eh?
I got a phonecall from my mate, Colin Tarrant, today. If you want to hear him sing "My Way" as Brian Clough, go to www.cloughiereturns.com.
It's my wife's birthday tomorrow. She shares it with Elvis and David Bowie. "This Is Major Tom To Graceland".
There's an idea....any suggestions for Presley/Bowie hybrids? "You Ain't Nothin' But A Starman" ?
I'm going to bed now.
I can honestly say that I haven't had sex with Jennifer Aniston in the last 48 hours and 20 minutes.

I believe a blog is traditionally meant to include the things you did do, not the other way round.

That doesn't make sense.
You mean "a blog is traditionally meant to include the things you did do, not the things you didn't", shurely?

Say happy birthday to Mary, Roger. Were you celebrating it early, I wonder? ;)

Are you always this pedantic when you are sober?

It depends on which bit is "the other way round".

For example:

- a blog is traditionally meant to include the things you did do, not the things you didn't do.

- a blog is traditionally meant to include the things you did do, not omit the things you didn't do.

- a blog is traditionally meant to include the things you did do, not not meant to include the things you didn't do.

Or we could apply the "not" to the noun "blog".

- I believe a blog is traditionally meant to include the things you did do, not something that is not a blog is traditionally meant to include the things you did do.

Or we could apply the "not" to the verb "believe".

- I believe a blog is traditionally meant to include the things you did do, not disbelieve a blog is traditionally meant to include the things you did do.

Go on: go for it!

I believe for every drop of rain that falls a flower grows, not the other way round.

So a flower doesn't die: is that what you are saying?

Another thing about a blog. Isn't it supposed to have more than one entry?

Mince, I'm bored with my avatar/picture thingie. Can I have my Custer one back? Or maybe one of Lieutenant Charles De Rudio? He's a hero of mine. He was a drummer boy with Garibaldi, tried to assassinate a Napoleon, was pardoned at the guillotine, escaped from Devil's Island, survived the Little Bighorn and formed a dance band.
He's very similar to me in that he used to go shopping.

This is him, Mincey - just back from Tescos.

I'm amazed he didn't get that beard caught in the shopping-trolley.

He did, it used to be longer than that.
